Easter/January Intake – Modular at Kampala Campus
In addition to the other University admission requirements for undergraduate Programmes, one of the following categories will allow admission to this course:
• (a) Undergraduate degree with minimum second-class lower (2:2) grade;
• (b) Post-graduate Diploma;
• (c) Undergraduate degree with less than second-class grade but at least five years of relevant experience. Additionally, non-English speaking applicants may be required to do an English proficiency test)
12 months for full-time and 24 months for part-time with a maximum of four years to complete. Both full time and part-time courses include a dissertation.
This Master’s Programme developed by the Faculty of Law at Uganda Christian University focuses on legal information related to advising, advocating and representing a clients’ business interest or issues involving two or more countries. A key goal of the Programme is to prepare lawyers to handle complex issues arising out of international banking, trade and business with legal knowledge, critical thinking, and a strong Christian ethical foundation.
Examples of courses topics in the Programme are: WTO law and policy, international intellectual property law, EU commercial law and transactions, international trade law, confl ict resolution in international business, EU internal market law, and EU intellectual property law.
There are a variety of Career Prospects for graduates of this postgraduate degree including legal practice in international business-related companies, working as a global investigator, or the work of a corporate law co- ordinator.
