To qualify for admission to this Programme, beyond all other normal graduate Programme requirements, the candidate must:
• Have business/organizational management experience, whether in the public or private sector, for at least two years at middle or top management level;
• Applicants need to have an undergraduate degree from a recognized university with a minimum second lower (2:2);
• Complete the University Administered Graduate Management Admission (GMAT) Test with a pass mark of 60%.
Two years, including the research project
The Executive Master of Business Administration Programme in the Faculty of Business and Administration provides quality training for people of substantial competency and interest in management and business administration skills. The Programme is highly flexible with the aim of helping senior managers from various backgrounds and representing a wide variety of organizations and industries to increase their qualification. The Participant-Centred Learning approach is used as a mode of teaching as well as a focus on case study methodology in every course unit.
This course includes study in the following areas, among others: management theory and practice, accounting and finance for managers, business ethics, strategic marketing management, organizational behaviour, project planning, and business/company law.
Career prospects upon completing this degree can be found in local, national and international government, non-profit and private sectors with such titles as: business advisor, business manager, consultant, policy analyst, and technical specialist.
