Uganda Christian University (UCU) has organised a three-day hands-on Grant Writing Training organised by the Directorate of Research, Partnerships and Innovation.
Running from October 6–8, 2026, at the ICMI Conference Hall, the training will equip staff and researchers with skills to identify funding opportunities, understand funder priorities and develop competitive grant proposals.
Opening the training, Prof. Elizabeth Balyejusa Kizito, Director of Research, Partnerships and Innovation, urged researchers to focus on what funders are looking for and clearly communicate the impact of their ideas.
“Every person with a PhD at UCU should have a grant. That’s the bare minimum,” Prof. Kizito said.
