Program Highlights

The Bachelors in Procurement and Logistics Management in the Faculty of Business and Administration aims to teach students to understand the different facets of procurement and logistics management. In additional to theory and practical skills, participants in this course receive hands-on training in real-time procurement and emphasis on sustainability in relation to logistics.

Advent/September Intake - Full-time Day at UCU-Mukono (Main) campus and at Kampala campus; Trinity/May Intake - Full-time Day at UCU-Mukono (Main) campus and at Kampala campus

Minumum Requirements

In addition to the other University admission requirements for undergraduate Programmes, one of the following categories will allow admission to this course: • Direct entrants with the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent and least 2 A’ level principle passes taken in the same sitting; and/or • Holders of a relevant diploma, in a relevant field of study, from a recognized institution of higher learning; and/or • A Pass in mature-age examination – such candidates must be Ugandan nationals of at least 25 years and have formal education. Those who are successful, in both the written and oral examination, are considered for admission

Program Length

Three years, with maximum of five years to complete

Courses

Topics in the coursework include, among others: procurement, economics, warehouse and store management, supply chain management, marketing, accounting, strategic procurement, relationship management, quantitative methods, logistics, organizational behavior and contract management

Career Prospects

Among careers available for those who complete this Programme are managers of supply chain, fleet, stores, and operations; procurement officers; and entrepreneurs.
