Uganda Christian University (UCU) School of Law students won the National International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Moot Competition on International Humanitarian Law becoming Moot National Champions 2025. During this Moot held on September 16, 2025,at Hotel Africana Hotel in Kampala Uganda, the UCU team won the Most Outstanding Student award, Best Memorial award and the Best Overall Team award.

This win qualifies UCU to represent Uganda at the All-Africa International Humanitarian Law Moot Competition in Nairobi, Kenya slated for November 2025 . UCU was represented by oralists including Michelle Lubogo in her year 3 of study, she received the Most Outstanding Student award. Eliane Luwaga in year 4, and Sandra Nakiganda in year 3. The researchers were Joel Magala in Year 2 and Sheena Akantabira in Year 3.

Over the years, UCU has earned accolades at prestigious platforms including the All Africa Human Rights Moot Court, the Christof Heyns African Human Rights Moot, the International Humanitarian Law Moot, and the National Inter-University Constitutional Moots.
