As the lead institution coordinating preparations for the 2026 Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations at the Anglican Shrine, Namugongo, Uganda Christian University (UCU) remained at the centre of national attention. Throughout the preparation period, the University and the Church of Uganda featured prominently across television, radio, print and digital media, providing updates on planning, public health measures, and the significance of this year’s commemoration.

For print, we signed a memorandum of understanding with Vision Group and they supported us in that area.

The extensive media coverage highlighted UCU’s role in supporting the successful organization of one of Uganda’s most significant annual religious events while keeping the public informed about key developments, including proposed scientific measures, pilgrim preparations, and messages of faith, unity and hope.
