Held yesterday, July 4th, at the UCU Main Campis in Mukono, the 26th Graduation Ceremony (Part One) was filled with inspiration, joy, and deep reflections about the kind of impact graduates should make in the world.

Archbishop Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu encouraged graduates to go out as ambassadors of faith, integrity, and compassion. He reminded everyone to keep doing good and serve others selflessly—echoing the words of Apostle Paul and even Mahatma Gandhi!
Bishop Alfred Olwa, Chairperson UCU Council also gave a strong message—asking graduates to stay honest in a world full of shortcuts. “Do not trade integrity for personal gain,” he said. He urged them to let their education shine through their actions and character.

Rev. Prof. John Kitayimbwa, speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, encouraged graduates to be part of the solution in society—not just observers.
And Dr. Philip Ryken, the President of Wheaton College in the U.S., who was the Guest of Honour, challenged them to stand firm against corruption and stay faithful to God’s calling.

Among the notable graduates was the Leader of Opposition in Uganda’s Parliament, Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi, who received his Master’s degree in Organisational Leadership and Management during the ceremony.
