Program Highlights

The proposed MHEPL program is work-based and learners are expected to interrogate, reflect on, and apply new knowledge within their current practice. The program will encourage the student to explore their professional context and to evaluate the feedback they receive from peers and students in relation to what is known and what is published about teaching and learning in higher education. In this program learners will focus on the following course; foundations of education and learning theories, Assistive Technologies for Visually & Hearing Impaired students, Curriculum design and development, pedagogical models and strategies, pedagogical leadership, higher education organization and administration, technology enhanced learning: theory and practice, advanced Christian ethics, Assessment and evaluation in higher education,  Assistive Technology for Visually and Hearing impaired Students, Quality Assurance of Higher education and Gender and Higher Education.

Minumum Requirements

A holder of a bachelor’s degree from a university accredited by their country’s recognized by NCHE A practicing lecturer attached to a university teaching department; OR, Any staff seconded to a teaching department who provides instruction/technical support to students.

Program Length

Two years, with a maximum of four years to complete
