UCU Strengthens Ties with Belmont University to Boost Research and Innovation

The Uganda Christian University (UCU) partners and the Directorate of Research, Partnerships, and Innovations held a partnership meeting with the Director of Global Health Innovations from the University of Belmont. The Belmont team, led by Prof. Olivia Bahemuka, included Lexi Johnston and Douglas Johnston.

The meeting aimed to explore potential research and innovation collaborations, partnerships, and mutual interests between the two institutions.
The Director for Research Partnership and Innovation, Prof. Elizabeth Kizito was happy to receive the team and expressed the strategic plan to engage in meaningful partnership and innovations.

UCU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aaron Mushegyezi, welcomed the team and expressed optimism about the potential for a long-term partnership, stating, “We are excited about the possibilities that this collaboration presents and look forward to a fruitful and enduring relationship.”

This partnership marks a significant step towards strengthening research collaborations and innovations between UCU and other international institutions. Belmont has been a long-term partner with the Uganda Studies Program for over 15 years as a sending University for study abroad students from the US.
