Campus Transformation Initiative

UCU

The UCU Campus Transformation Initiative (2024-2030) is a seven-year development project launched by Uganda Christian University (UCU) to elevate its status as a global center of excellence. Spearheaded by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Aaron Mushengyezi, the initiative focuses on five key areas: developing a trained, equipped, and motivated team to lead the transformation; digitizing campus services to enhance efficiency and student experience; refurbishing facilities to create a conducive learning environment; upgrading walkways and roads for safety and accessibility; and maintaining landscaped, green, and clean campuses for sustainability.

Since its unveiling on May 23, 2024, progress includes renovated buildings, tarmacked roads like Bishop Orombi Road, and ongoing staff training, with student feedback reflecting enthusiasm for the improved campus environment as of August 29, 2025.
