Uganda Christian University (UCU) is receiving applications for prospective undergraduate students. The application portal is open and accessible at https://application.ucu.ac.ug/

Speaking in an official communication to prospective students and parents, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Rev. Prof. John Kitayimbwa (PhD), congratulated candidates on their achievement and outlined key application deadlines:

  1. The School of Medicine and School of Dentistry will receive applications until 20 March 2026, with pre-entry examinations on 23 March.
  2. The School of Law closes admissions on 27 March 2026, with pre-entry examinations set for 30 March.
  3. All remaining schools and faculties will accept applications through 10 April 2026.
  4. Students admitted for the Trinity Semester 2026 are expected to begin studies on 20 April, 2026.

We encourage early applications, as several programmes operate a single annual intake.

Uganda Christian University Staff from the Vice Chancellor’s Division today, March 11, 2026, convened for a divisional meeting at the Principals’ Hall, Bishop Tucker Building.

Presided over by the Vice ChancellorProf. Aaron Mushengyezi, the session served as a platform for various departments and directorates to present their annual work plans and strategic priorities for the year.

The overall theme of the meeting was the enhancement of inter-departmental coordination and the alignment of unit goals with the University’s strategic objectives.

The meeting reflects the University’s commitment to operational excellence and collaborative synergy as we continue to advance our mandate for delivering quality higher education service and mission “to equip students for productive, holistic lives of Christian faith and service.

The Vice Chancellor’s Division consists of the following offices:

    • Directorate of Research, Partnership and Innovation
    • Directorate of Theological Education and Ministerial Formation
    • Directorate of Quality Assurance and Operations
    • Department of Communication and Public Relations
    • Legal Department
    • Internal Audit Department
    • Chaplaincy
    • Institute of Faith, Learning and Service (IFLS)

 

The other two UCU Divisions are headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellors of Academic Affairs (Rev. Prof. John M. Kitayimbwa); and Finance and Administration (Mr. David Mugawe), respectively.
