Online learning pushes UCU to the sky

Waking up to the second wave of Covid-19, a lot of business was altered from the usual. The Ugandan Government deemed it fit to close the learning institutions as one measure to curb the rampant surge of the virus. Indeed, the order was effected and all learning institutions were put on hold for 42 days.

This is the second time the government is closing learning institutions. This of course comes with a lot of effects which have hit several institutions harder than any possible imagination.

To Uganda Christian University (UCU), the effects seem not to be so much felt as the digital learning continues to make them fly higher.

The virtual learning has placed UCU ahead of other universities affirming that indeed, UCU is ‘A Center of Excellence in the Heart of Africa’.

“I embraced online learning because it will enable me to graduate in the exact time and this makes us unique," said Kenneth O. Mugabi, a final year student of Bachelor of Finance and Accounting.

An international First Year student doing Higher Education Certificate, Rose Youbu Marle said virtual learning is an indication that the University chose the right path.
