Advent/September and Trinity/May Intake – Full-time Day at Mukono/Main campus and Kampala campus

In addition to the other University admission requirements for undergraduate Programmes, one of the following categories will allow admission to this course:
• Direct entrants with the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent, and least 2 A’ level principal passes in Mathematics, Economics or Entrepreneurship taken at the same sitting. For Arts subjects, a student must have obtained a credit in Mathematics at O-level;

• A diploma in Accounting and Finance or any other related qualification;
• A Pass in mature-age examination – such candidates must be Ugandan nationals of at least 25 years and have formal education. Those who are successful, in both the written and oral examination, are considered for admission.

Three years with maximum of five years to complete

The Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance in the Faculty of Business and Administration aims to provide rigorous study of accounting and fi nance. The Programme has a strong vocational orientation that prepares students to progress in such certifications as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).

In addition to such foundation courses as communications and the Bible, topics in the coursework include: marketing, quantitative methods, human resource management, organizational behaviour
and analysis, tax theory and policy, accounting, entrepreneurship, and strategic management, among others.

Graduates of the BSAF Programme could pursue careers and become accountants, financial advisors, auditor, banking, and insurance and business consultants.
