Advent/September Intake – Full-time Day at UCU-Mengo campus

Admission to the Programme requires a pre-qualification based the criteria listed below as well as a pre-entry examination. In addition to these requirements, one of the following categories will allow
admission to this course:
•Direct entrants with the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent with at least 5 passes,
including Math and English, and least 2 A’ level principal passes in Biology and Chemistry taken at the same sitting and at least a subsidiary pass in either Physics or mathematics of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE);

• A credit or class II diploma in a health related discipline with at least a Credit in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics, as well as at least 2 years in a relevant health related fi eld since qualification;

• Admissions by the mature age entry Examination Certificate issued by a recognized institution or related University Examinations, alongside all other requirements; For those who already hold a degree, in order to gain admission to this course, have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant science subject from a recognized University with a CGPA of at least 3.5.

Five years, with maximum of seven years to complete

Surgery, Public Health, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology,Psychiatry, Radiology, Anaesthesia and
Ophthalmology.
