Trinity/May intake at Kampala campus

Applicants for this Programme must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution;
• At least two years work experience with some management or, however, those without such experience, should have a First-Class Degree or Second-Class Upper Degree.

One year, with three modules of four weeks each

The Post-Graduate Diploma of Public Administration and Management Programme focuses on preparing workers from the smallest local office to the highest halls of executive and legislative power with the ultimate goal of making government and private sector as efficient and effective as possible. In the third module, students choose either Public Management or Private Sector Management pathways and research projects.

Course content includes: public management in contemporary society, management information system, ethics in public administration, public
policy formulation and management, public private partnership, procurement management, research methods, marketing and public relations, among others.

Career prospects upon completing this Programme can be found in public service, local governments, central government ministries, military systems or security bodies, public corporation, intergovernmental bodies at regional and international levels, private sector investments, CSOs and NGOs. Additionally, graduates can qualify for the UCU Master of Public Administration and Management Programme, providing that application occurs within one year of graduation.
