Trinity/May Intake – Modular on Main/Mukono campus

n addition to overall university requirements, applicants for this Programme will be screened for maturity, character, stability and academic ability. Applicants must:
• Submit a typed manuscript with personal testimony about religious life and experience, goals, passion for career path and references;

  • Have a bachelor’s degree with high standing and from an accredited university;
  • Complete an interview with the university counseling department faculty.

Two years with five years to complete

In addition to the latest theoretical information provided by subject matter experts, students in the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology will gain practical counseling experience in such settings as churches, prisons, schools, hospitals and various industries. This Programme is designed to accommodate a working professional’s schedule.

Specific topical content in the Programme includes: abnormal psychology, psychosexual issues, child psychology, psychological testing, addictions; and grief, HIV/AIDS, palliative, trauma/crisis, marriage and family counseling, among others.

Graduates of this Programme will be able to expand in their current positions with added knowledge and skill, including Christian principles, as well as gain new employment as teachers or counselors in private and non-profit organizations and other institutions. The populations served might include children, youth, adults and elderly, among others.
