Uganda Christian University welcomed her advent semester freshmen on 30th August, 2017. These new students were accompanied by their parents, brothers, sisters and other relatives as they would be seen walking around campus settling them in their respective halls of residence.

These students are from faculty of law, Business administration, Mass communication, education, and engineering among others.
The continuing students and student guild officials walked around to welcome and greet newcomers and their families. Some of the continuing students were seen carrying, pulling suitcases, and lugging small appliances of the newcomers into dorm rooms. Teams of peer advisors and university staff were quick to provide assistance where it was needed.

Mr. Zziwa Haruna a guardian, who had brought her to school, said that the infrastructures at UCU are marvelous. “It is my first time to come here, but am so much impressed. The university is marvelous” Haruna said.

In addition to that, Ms. Vanessa Nalumagi who had come with her son, Kabenge Nicholas (BIFA) said that so far everything is good. “I brought him myself to make sure he settles in and start serious business immediately” Vanessa said.
